Do I have a chance?

Question

I just did my ultrasound and the nurse told me I have 4 follicles on my left ovary and non my right..I was so devastated hearing that. Do I have chance to move forward with my own egg or do I need an egg donor?

I’m reading the book “it starts with the egg” which I recommend. I’m not a medical expert but from all my reading so far I would urge you to look after / try to improve the quality of the eggs you do have. That’s what I’m currently doing now. Who knows if it will work but surely it’s worth trying.

Hi, are you going into an ivf cycle? If You don't have any tubes blocked and you have 4 on left side, did you consider IUI?

I got 4 eggs in that same situation. But not all were mature and the 2 embryos I got did not stick. I’ve also ended up with no mature eggs in that situation. So, it’s a gamble, but ultimately your choice. Good luck!

As Nik said I would suggest considering IUI instead of IVF if you don’t have any tube issues or male factor issues.
