Does abortion pill hurt?

I’m considering taking the pill medication to stop pregnancy from happening. I’m only 3 weeks. Someone who has done it, is it painful? I heard you get BIG cramps, but if you take painkillers does it relieve the pain?

I've done it twice now, never took the stringer pain meds they gave me. Both times it was like strong cramps. The first time I was a little farther along (10wk), and the cramps were stronger. Literally just did it again last week and crams have been mild to moderate, not even as bad as normal period cramps.

I had it done when I was a little over 6 weeks. The first set of pills they made me take in the office. They sent me home with my prescriptions and picked them up later that day. The following morning, 24hrs after taking the pills in the office I was told to take the second set. About 30-60 mins before that I had to take the pain killers so they kick in beforehand. Only in my case, the heavy duty set of pain meds weren’t given to me. When I got my prescriptions from Walgreens they didn’t fill the last one. That wasn’t ready until 2 days later! I didn’t know this at the time. 
The cramps themselves were bad. I got super hot and felt like I was going to puke at first. TRY YOUR HARDEST NOT TO THROW UP. Oh I should mention, that second set of meds I took at home, I was told to place them on my gums and let them dissolve. Don’t drink for like 30-60 mins after taking them either. Some times you’ll be told to insert the pills into your vagina, but that wasn’t my experience. After a little bit the cramps lightened *slightly*. I felt like I couldn’t get up though. Like I thought I was going to gush blood everywhere. Make sure you keep an eye out on the pads too. You need to get the super crazy absorbent ones, and make sure you’re not bleeding TOOO heavily. They’ll go over all of this in the office with you. And if you have ANY questions, CALL THEM. They’re there to help you.
