So he’s finally here, 7 pound 7 ounces of pure perfection! Born at 3.03am on 26/10/17😁

I had gotten induced so they had given me the first protoxin 12.45am 25/10/17 , I then had the second one 6 hours later. I was dilated to a 2 and getting some light contractions so they decided to break my waters at 1.30pm I was taken on to the delivery ward and set up in my own room! I had group B strep in my urine so I had to have the first lot of antibiotics,I then had a drip of pitocin! That’s when the contractions came thick and fast! By 6.00 I was 4cm, I then decided on the gas and air as the pains were starting to get stronger. The nurse checked me again 4 hours later and I was at a 5, I was waiting for the doctor to come round to see whether an action plan was whether he wanted to give me a section then I was, they supposed to check me 2 hours later however the midwife didn’t have time as she had 2 emergency C-sections! Anyway 2 hours came by and i still wasn’t checked however 20 minutes later I felt the sudden urge to push, I explained this to my midwife and she said you can’t be ready to push yet your were only at a 5, I pushed for 10 minutes she then examined me and I was fully dilated! I’d gone from a 5 to a 10 within 2 hours! Anyway long story short he was born at 3.03am 26/10/17 I properly pushed for 45 minutes in total with just gas and air!
