Atheists - have you ever looked into or researched a religion that you was not taught about in school?

Hi everyone, I've been wanting to make this post for a couple of weeks but didn't want anyone to take it the wrong way. I want to make it clear that I respect absolutely everyone's beliefs as long as it isn't harmful to anybody, and I'm not trying to change anybody's beliefs in this post. You can also skip the two paragraphs below about the backstory as to why I wanted to ask this question if you feel it's too long.

For my entire life I have considered myself atheist. I had never looked too deep into any religion except Buddhism because it just didn't interest me at all, and the only reason I looked into Buddhism is because I thought it would be disrespectful to have Buddha ornaments across my house without knowing about the actual religion.

Anyway, for the last few weeks I have found myself researching the fuck out of Wicca. Wicca is a pagan religion that worships Nature, the Earth and basically the universe. I never knew a religion existed that didn't require you to believe in an actual God or Goddess. So when I found Wicca I was extremely shocked and fascinated. Maybe someday, when I've researched enough about the religion; I might consider myself Wiccan.

So my question is, atheists, have you ever properly educated yourself on a religion that isn't already taught in school? Why or why not? If so, did it intrigue you and did you consider being apart of that religion at any point?
