Kinda long post but bear with me I need advice.....

So my husbands family and us are doing secret santa this year instead of buying for every one since all of us will be there. So on my wish list I put baby items that would help me as a sahm but that are items I know we won't buy our selves because they aren't a necessity and we are on a tight budget. My husband says I shouldn't have put baby items. But here's the deal. As it stands right now we won't be having a baby shower and only buying must haves for baby. Is this wrong? I mean I legit want these things for Christmas and I don't see why he said I shouldn't have put them down. And yes it is the only thing on my list are baby items.
