I don’t want to get married?

Question

Am I the only woman that actually doesn’t want to get married? Like honestly what is the point. I don’t see the reasoning behind spending all this money or getting the government involved to legally bind us to prove that I love someone.

There were a lot of reasons as to why I got married. I wanted to be bound to him financially and legally. There are tax benefits along with insurance benefits. I
wanted to officially be a step mom to my step kids and for us to all share a last name. It dies not cost a lot to get married. Marriage certificate is $20. That’s all you need.

Don’t see the point in making you love legally binding? Where you have to work hard because you have that extra motivation to do right always as you made a real commitment that shouldn’t be broken! I certainly do. I definitely have worked harder st my relationship because of that “piece of paper” than if I wasn’t married.

I got married at the courthouse for the sake of immigration and visas.
Its easier for my family to move around on my qualifications with my husband and I legally married.

If you found the right person, you wouldn't feel that way. 
Honestly, to me, it's an insult when people say it's just a piece of paper and weddings are a waste of money. Yeah, ok, that's your opinion. But please don't negate marriages or people's desire to have a weddings - because you're a sour puss. Ok, you're not a sour puss, but you don't appreciate the significance of marriage/weddings.
My husband was 49, I was 38 when we got married earlier this year. Neither of us are kids, I've been married before (it was terrible), so it's not like we we're starry eyed "kids" who just wanted a big fancy wedding. That piece of paper and our rings are tangible signs of our commitment. 
The wedding we planned was a celebration of our commitment and a day we will always remember. Yes, we will have many many other special days, but this was one that included all of those who we love dearly. It's not often that you can pull so many family and friends together! 
You absolutely have every right to go your own way and make the choices that are best for you. While I am open minded about people who choose not to get married, I ask that you be open minded about those who choose to get married.

I never got married to prove that I love my husband. I got married because I love him. Huge difference. 
We were together for 10 years before we got married. We quite easily could have just carried on like that, but we didn't want to.

I probably won't ever get married unless the guy is totally, utterly and unbelievably an amazing person, and somewhat handsome too and will accept me and my flaws, and my good things and also my baby who's arriving in February '18 💙 and also my love and respect for my family and how close I am to them. 
But other than that I don't see marriage in my future, sadly. But that's the way I've been treated my the father of my baby he put me off relationships and Marriage for life I think. 
So you're it alone in this, and there's nothing wrong with getting married for any reasons you have. You need to make you happy ❤️

Not only did I want to marry my husband because I love him and wanted to we’re both military and they only co locate married couples.
