Did you get waxed/shaved down there before labor?

Just curious when and if I should remove hair down there for labor. I'm only 28 weeks now but wondering what to do? I've never had a wax - idk how it feels or if they'd do it for a pregnant woman.

I plan on just trimming. I've heard waxing can cause little microtears in our skin, opening it up to possible infection and at such a sensitive time I don't even wanna deal with one ingrown hair. Shaving? I'm not trying to have the itchiest day three stubble with a newborn and no sleep 💔

I didn't bother, the last thing I wanted was a shaving rash whilst recovering from childbirth. And when you get in the delivery room you don't care what you look like, everything goes out of the window- I still had the nights before make up on

I just plan on shaving and keeping it trimmed up as labor gets near, but i’m sure it will be a smidge fuzzy as i can’t know the exact date i will go into labor 😂 also i shave by feel now cause i can’t see my vahjj anymore

I got a sugar wax 7/27 had her 8/2 worked out perfectly.... I got waxed my whole pregnancy... it didn’t hurt worse than pre pregnancy at all... nothing hurts more than pushing out 7lb baby no mess having to take pitocin... I think I can take on anything now 😂😂😂

No one cares. It’s personal preference. I avoid shaving but did use clippers.

I'm going to have it trimmed just with scissors (my husband will likely do it) because it's easier to clean when it's short and I don't have to worry about razor burn or ingrown hairs.

I trimmed up like usual, but never have I shaved. I ended up with an emergency csection so they shaved the top part anyway.

I used to get a Brazilian wax every month before I found out I was pregnant. I had one done the day before I found out and it did hurt worse. I had gotten to the point where yeah they hurt a little but after it was over it didn't hurt any more. Honestly I wish I had kept going even though it hurt just a little more. Everything felt so much better and cleaner down there. I wouldn't suggest getting anything done now if you haven't before bc your elevated hormone levels will make it hurt worse. Your best bet is probably to use an electric trimmer. I like the trim style razor and shaved in one.

my husband shaves me with some hair clippers.... if you don't have someone to do it for you the hospital will before you start pushing
