Should schools in low income neighbors receive free and/or discounted materials?

Materials such as smart boards, textbooks, computers & anything else that would be needed to have a productive learning environment

Yes. I’d like to see national free breakfast and lunch programs regardless of student income.

YES. ABSOLUTELY. I am a teacher. I am currently student teaching in a wonderful district that has the ability to afford tools that are essential for student learning and engagement. I’ve also been in districts that have a 95% free and reduced lunch population. They also deserve the tools just as much as the students who have every privilege in the world. 
Plus not to mention, teachers pay out of their own pockets for many things inside their room. Not necessarily the smart boards, laptops, and other technology. We pay for school supplies, other materials used for instruction. Being able to get these tools can really help a student learn.

Education NEEDS more funding.
We can’t complain about how important education is and how we are falling behind, then turn around and not provide the financial means necessary to improve.

The reason is at the smart boards should be heavily discounted it, I have seen the up front cause and there is no way they will just give them away.

I think that kids who have binders and other materials that are still in shape should have the option of donating them to the classroom for the following year. One of my teachers last year had a few binders for any kid that needed them and I always thought that was really cool.

Maybe there should be an incentive for schools to “donate” their used books(still working) to poorer schools
Or if a school want to upgrade their laptops for example they maybe should be able to get rid of them assuming they still function to a poorer school and get a small discount maybe 5 percent off the new laptops. Because you know, they can afford it and many companies make lots of money off schools and I’m sure 5 percent is not a lot. 
The poorer schools don’t have to fork up lots of money as they’ve gotten some donated items and the “richer” schools were able to have brand new slightly slightly discounted items. 
Of course they can always donate regardless but ... I think that would be better. 
Both schools should have new stuff but unfortunately I know that that doesn’t happen, at least in this way they don’t have to fork out money even at a discount and the other school gets more discount for items they probably would have bought anyways
