I feel like an f*ing idiot-diaper rash help!!

So me, in all my DIY ambition, bought some non toxic paint to make a few Halloween/fall momentos, one of which being a "bumpkin" bowl. My son's butt was red this morning and looked a bit irritated but not bad, fast forward to diaper change #3, (I forgot to apply rash cream on change #2 because it looked really calm.) well as I'm about to wipe I notice it is so raw it is lightly bleeding in tiny spots on two little patches, one on each cheek. Im a FTM, he is 10 months, and he's never ever had a diaper rash other than a bit of redness once in a blue moon. I use honest diaper rash cream, or coconut oil mixed with lavender EO. I've used healing balm before too, would that be better for this? Im feeling like that or the coco oil mix will be better for it than just the diaper rash cream. Any advice? I feel like a selfish idiot and feel so bad for him. 😣 luckily he was giggling and I dabbed his bum instead of wiping lol and it generally doesn't seem to bother him

Posting anon because I know some of y'all are going to be way judgemental. 🙄

Edit-adding photo if anyone has specific advice, this was change #4, it's calmer than it wss last change and I'd lathered it in honest diaper rash cream (I think the MI is zinc oxide? I'll have to check)u

Updated with the photo of the bumpkin also did a bumpkin patch canvas but don't have photo on hand 😍😂

Update

He's all cleared up aside from the two little spots that got really bad, which are healing pretty quickly! I used honest rash cream and a coconut oil/lavender oil the coconut oil seemed to help the most, but when I was on the go I just used the cream and it helped but not as much! Thank you everyone for all your help 💗
