First steps to full on walking?

My daughter is 9 months old and she took her fist steps the day before Halloween (she took like four all at once) and since then she's only taken a few steps here or there. I've been letting her figure it out herself and sometime holding her hands and walking with her, and I was wondering how long baby's usually take to start being more confident with walking? Do you think she'll be walking by thanksgiving? I'm sure it varies a lot for everyone but I'm just curious how other babies did! Should I continue to practice with her & entice with toys? Or just let her explore on her own. She's been crushing furniture for a few months now!
