Pregnant but bf says we’re not ready

me and my soulmate live together and we’re planning on getting married and having children but not yet as we’re both full time workers trying to progress in our careers... except now I’m 6 weeks pregnant. We’re quite young so the dad is scared and says we can’t have a kid yet but when I told him he went to cry because he has to kill his kid and he told me he was happy when I told him but still says we can’t keep it as we’re not ready. I’m not sure if I can abort the baby though and I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to ruin our relationship and I know we’re probably not ready but it’s our child and I don’t know of I can get rid of it. Anyone have advice?! Thanks so much.
