So I’ve found out in the last week that I’m expecting no.2! My little girl is only 13 months old and we didn’t plan on falling literally as soon as she turned one. Took a while last time, and expected the same again. Never mind, this is obviously what was meant to happen 😊

Anyway, I’ve done an online self referral to the midwife rather than go through the doctor. I did this 7 days ago at 5.5 weeks gone. Obviously it won’t be long till I’m 8 weeks and need my booking appointment but I’ve not heard a peep from the midwife or hospital.

How long did other people have to wait for communication when they self referred?

I’m wondering whether to call the doctor and see if it’s gone missing. Don’t wanna wait till almost 8 weeks and then be bottom of the list for appointments.
