PCOS (Polycystic ovarian syndrome)

I found out I had PCOS the early part of this year and my Gyn put me on birth control pills so that I could have regular cycles. I stopped taking the pills because I do want kids later on from now and I don't know what effect the pills will have on my body if I continue to take them. I prayed and prayed over my reproductive system and a month later I came on my cycle without the birth control pills. I was crying and praising God because I thought I might have a chance to be a mother, I didn't tell my Gyn that I stopped taking them because I really couldn't take anymore bad news this year. Has this ever happened to anyone? Does this mean I have a higher chance of getting pregmant without any complications?
