Update on fertility testing

Semen analysis came back today- shows low sperm count (6 million), but normal motility.

My period hasn’t gone beyond minimal spotting but I think tmrw will be a proper day 1 so i should be able to get Day 3 bloodwork drawn on Monday then.

HSG is scheduled for 11/14. And we have a followup scheduled for early Dec to discuss all the results.

Honestly i am somewhat relieved to have an answer. I think my husband is too. And we can definitely work with low sperm count (rather than no sperm). We both wish we had known earlier to get started on this process earlier though. I’m hoping my testing is all fine so that we only have 1 problem to deal with. Plus I think low sperm count is one of the easier issues to deal with.

I’m still a little shell shocked today because my husband found out midday and told me then- it’s my first day working a shift in the emergency dept and it’s a ridiculous crazy environment here. No time to process any news. I just wish it would be the end of the shift so i can go home and google to my heart’s content and hang out with my husband.
