I was at my 39 week appointment when my doctor said I was 5cm 80% so I went to labor and delivery. After 2 hours they broke my water..

At my 36 week appointment I was 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced. at my 37 week appointment I was 1 cm and 80%. My baby was born the next morning. But i went from a 3 to a 10 in an hour... How much you're effaced doesn't really tell you when it's gonna happen.
