Baby grabbing ear/ back of head?

Recently, my 7 month old daughter has began grabbing at the back of her head and pulling her ears. I assumed it was an ear infection so I brought her in to see her pediatrician.
The pediatrician said that she does not have an infection and it's most likely due to her teething. She does have three teeth coming in so I thought it made sense at the time.
However, today I have grown even more paranoid. She is consistently grabbing behind her head now except during tummy time and when she's sleeping. I'm worried there may be an underlying problem.
Is anyone else experiencing this and is it due to teething?

A lot of babies do that for comfort. I wouldn't worry.

same here. i also read it means they are tired. which makes since teething disrupts sleep so much.

My son does it but I never thought it was teething related till recently. My one nephew is 10.5 months old and does it. He has had ear infections also though.

Yes, sounds like teething. My son was doing that a ton, & now that he has 6 teeth in (they came kind of all at once), he's not doing it any more.

My daughter has been doing that too since about 5 months. No ear infection and no teeth yet at 6 months. I figure she's just discovering body parts, and she'll grab at her hair when she's scratching the back of her head behind her ear.

yup!! my son is 8 months and he's been doing that the past month or so. I also thought ear infection, at first. but in the last four weeks we got our first two bottom teeth and the top to have cut through
