My hospital specifically says NOT to shave or wax before delivery. It can cause small tears in your skin causing an infection risk with everything going on down there. I’d ask your doctor what they prefer.

I'm having a scheduled c-section. They always do it for you since they have to cut pretty low. I usually shave a couple days before so it's not too bad.

I got a terrible ingrown hair that quickly turned into an infected abscess from shaving, at 35 weeks.  A result of it being 90 degrees out and hormones perhaps.  Never had anything so weird and horribly painful happen, I had to have a home nurse come and pack the wound over the weekends and visit my OB every day for 2 weeks to pack it.  Do not recommend!

some hospitals don't want you to shave because of infection risk. some hospitals will shave you (bikini line) of you have a c section. I usually go bare but I can't see it anymore so shave blindly. although I would love to wax before labor I guess it all comes down to if I make it before I go INTO labor. lmao.
