What to not eat?

I’m pretty new too this so trying to make sure I shop for food well. Doc told me no tobacco, no alcohol and stay away from kitty litters, is there other foods? I think nuts too but what about mayo, any other things that the doc tells you to stay away from?

Fish is okay - go for those low in Mercury (smaller fish, not large ones like Tuna). Fish are full of amazing nutrients! 
Deli meat is the big one, and sushi. I never paid attention much to the other rules. It seems like the list keeps growing....
And nuts are fine unless you are allergic.

sandwich meats unless you cook them first I know. certain kinds of fish aren't good either.

No sushi, soft cheeses. You are supposed to heat up deli meat (a quick 10 seconds is fine), no hot dogs. (Although my mother in law said she ate hot dogs and cold lunch meat and was fine) Only 200mg of caffeine a day. Yeah, certain fish is okay, certain fish is okay sometimes and certain fish is a no no. Google probably has a chart.

Deli meat (unless heated til the point of steaming to kill potential listeria), really anything undercooked bc of bacteria, it’s not necessary to stay away from all soft cheeses, as long as they are pasteurized (which most in the US tend to be), fish high in mercury content, too much caffeine, that’s all I can think of at the moment!
