Hernia while pregnant

My last doctor visit has got me stressed. For a while my belly button has been coming out, well sticking out I thought it was normal so didn’t think nothing much if it . Till my doctor went to see my belly and how it was growing he said I had a hernia cause how my belly button sticks out but that not to worry that everything would be fine . But that’s all he told me and I googled it and it says I would need surgery to fix it . The surgery part is scaring me but I wanna know has this happen to anyone else ? Will it go away on its own ?
