Spotting at 8 weeks. Is this normal?

Last night and this morning, when I wipe I get a slight brown discharge. This morning I got what you see in the picture. Already left message with the on-call doctor. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Doctor called back and said he didn’t feel there was any need to worry but to call the office tomorrow and come in to be seen to ease my mind.

I had that weeks 6-9 of my pregnancy.   I'm now 25wks + 2days with my little girl.  When I asked the fertility doctor about it, she said "better out than in" with my spotting like that.

Same with me. I had similar spotting weeks 6-9 or so. I’m now 18 weeks and everything is going well. My midwife said it could be from a sensitive cervix, but brown means old blood making its way out. As long as no bright red blood and/or cramping, she said it was fine. And it was!

Yep, I had this until 9-10weeks. 
If it's bright red clotting and you're cramping is the only time I'd be concerned. 
It's extremely common.
Spotting in the 2nd is reason for alarm.

I’m 5w2d and am having literally the same thing. Going in on Monday to get it checked out. Keep us updated!
