Neural scan ?
Reposting in this group -
I am 14w+ and had my TA u/s yesterday where we could see the spinal cord of the baby very clearly including the vertebrae & hear heartbeat . Doctor took measurements and said everything is looking good .
Only today I came to know that there is something called as neural scan done at 13w and once crossed you cannot do that . What is this ? Why is this done ? Is it the same that I saw yesterday? The person who told me scared me saying why was it not done to me - so I didn't ask more .
Is it any different from the normal u/s that's done.
My next appt is at 18w and so I won't be able to ask the doctor until then. Worried now. Is it an unnecessary worry ? Or should I call the Doctors office & ask - what to ask ?
Please guide me .
