I spoke with a midwife when I had my chemical pregnancy. She said there is no reason to get checked out unless you are bleeding very heavily to where you soak a pad within an hour. If that happens then call and see your doctor or go to ER.

It will pass. It's possible to have clots heavier than a normal period. Additionally, if you were on birth control for a while prior, it's likely that your period got lighter (birth control isn't a real period, rather a withdrawal bleed) and normal period may be heavier.
