My friend got pregnant and we took a test to confirm it but now we don’t know what to do . She is 16 and her parents are superrrrrr over protective . She should be about a month pregnant right now. We seen abortion pills online but we’re not sure if they are safe and I’m involving myself in this because she’s my bestfriend and her parents don’t allow her to have a phone so I’m basically her google . Is there anyway she can get an abortion pill without telling her parents ?

She can go to planned parenthood and they have a confidentiality rule where they cannot tell her parents whatsoever. She does not have to tell her parents either if she doesn’t want to. It’s her choice and her right. Just don’t trust online simply because it can be extremely dangerous

I can understand that your friend is scared to tell her parents but she needs to. Trying to do a Home abortion is dangerous. She needs to tell her parents. Even though they are overprotective, she needs to face this. She maybe surprised and they will help her with the baby or they will help her get an abortion. I had one. this year. 1) her parents are being parents and it may seem over the top by today's standards but also look at all the shit going on in today's world with teenagers with social media and crap.   2) as a minor I think she should tell her parents and have them as a support system because it is a heavily emotional thing and it hits everyone differently. I am 25 and with my long term BF and even though I never doubted my choice it did affect me in unexpected ways. she needs her parents even if they are strict. I didn't tell mine and I was hard to hide how I was feeling physically and emotionally.  3) planned parenthood offers 2 methods, and you either need the parents approval I think under a certain age, and their insurance or you pay out of pocket which is like 650$ plus. she needs a ride and will be healing for a day or two depending on the method. do not take sketchy things you find online because there is a small chance it wouldn't work all the way causing  more problems and needing medical attention. be smart. your friend also needs to learn sex ed. I advise all teens, because you are so dependant to not have sex unless you are capable of dealing with something like this maturely
