Daycare... what would you do?

My husband and I both work full-time and are fortunate enough to have decent jobs.  We have a trusted, licensed, in-home daycare we've used for our two boys.  Our first son is 7 and in school now. Our second is one and has been at this daycare,  full-time, since 4 months old (when I returned to work).  My daycare lady offered to let us go down to part-time after I have this baby (in Feb) since I'll be home for a few months before returning to work.  It'll save us a little bit of money,  but the idea of having a newborn and toddler at home seems so stressful to me!  I know moms do it ALL the time, but I can't figure out what move to make.  We CAN afford to keep him in daycare full-time while I'm home with the baby, but I feel like I'm cheating him a little by not taking the opportunity to have him home more, too.  What would you ladies do?  Thoughts?

My son is 4 and currently in daycare. When baby comes I’m planning to continue sending him to daycare for the two months I’m home. I️ think it will be a good opportunity to bond with the new baby and keeps my son in his normal routine.

Daycare! Or maybe just have him part time if you want him home more.

I say do the part time. He can work on getting used to the baby. I kept mines home when I had my daughter.
I had a 4 and 3 year old and a newborn.
They learn to be helpful during this time.
I liked being home with them

Try to go it on your own if it doesn’t work out how about having a nanny come help you at home? Otherwise do the daycare if need be at least you have options

Part of me wants to say you should spend time with him while you get the chance but another part of me thinks it will be easier on you with a newborn if he still goes to daycare. That's a tough decision. Do what you think is best for your family in the long run. I'm sure it would be nice to have him home with you but I also know how exhausting it is having a newborn in the house

Obviously do what you need to! I would feel crazy guilty. I mean after a week or two bonding with the new baby I would want my toddler home with me too.... but mind you I'm veryyyy biased as I'm a sahm lol, so do what you feel is best for your family all the way! It is hard the first couple months of having a new baby and a toddler at the same time, a break during the day would be a good breather.
