My boyfriend wants a break to think about himself and to come back a better boyfriend that appreciates me as much as he can and thinks i deserve. Do i go for it?

from personal experience in my current relationship, we fight and have doubts when we are apart. We don't take breaks. we both agree that breaks are for quitters, and that no one can come back whole from a break.

He shouldn't have to take a break to be a better man. Sounds like he wants to just mess around and not face the consequences cause you weren't necessarily together.

Just by being with my fiance i drive him to be better in his relationship, personal, & professional life. Theres no point in a break unless you want to experience more with other people then settle down with the person you were with to begin with.

I don’t see why time apart would make anything better . If he truly loves you you guys will be able to work it out together in a relationship.. real relationships don’t need breaks .. you do deserve better you don’t deserve to wait for his love ...but if you feel like it’s worth it go for it .. but in my opinion it sounds kinda fishy ...

Usually when men say they need a break he could be struggling with infidelity.. I would say give him space and do you because he is definitely going to be doing what he wants... or there's a slim chance he's being honest. (If he has cheated before you kno which one it is) I would say watch take the "break", but his social medias, don't say nothing abt the things you see... if other girls start popping up you kno what it is. All while your keeping it on a friend level with him. Don't talk abt feelings too much or get intimate if your of age. Can't give him what he gets while y'all aren't together.

From personal experience when people take a break they do not get back together. But if he truly wants a break you should let him have one. Hopefully you two will get back together, but I would not hold your breath on it.

But if he wants to type of rule or guideline just question whether he  wants to go on  break for the right reasons. (Not accusing him of anything but be smart)
