Acne? SOS!!

Question

I don’t know if it’s specifically caused by my IUD, but lately, my skin has been HORRIBLE. My diet hasn’t changed at all, so it’s definitely not from that... I had my IUD inserted about 6 weeks ago, and I know a lot of people have experienced breakouts after insertion... but I’ve never had a breakout this bad. Ever. I was on the mini-pill before, so no estrogen to help with acne...
Other possible answers could be that I just finished a seasonal job at a haunted house, so maybe the makeup? I also recently got new foundation, but it’s the same brand as the old one I was using for years...
Obviously, I’ll probably never know where it came from, but remedies? Tips? Things to try? Any advice is appreciated!! (Planning an engagement photoshoot in the next few weeks, so I’d really like this to clear up... literally!)
EDIT: AF just showed up... going to blame this on her. For now. 😂

I’m with you, my acne has gotten HORRIBLE since getting the IUD in September and it’s been bad since. I’ve started getting more cystic acne than before and I rarely wear makeup, my diets been the same and  I shower every 2/3 days and wash my face when I don’t shower. My face washes have stayed the same too. I’m hoping it calms down like they say it will

my doc told me that if you were taking hormonal bc pills before you got the iud then your body was used to the estrogen and since the iud doesn't have estrogen it makes it seem like the iud is the cause.. that's what she told me anyway

I have the mirena iud and my acne is SOOOO BAD!!! I don’t know what to do anymore

My acne is so bad due to the mirena, just got it taken out and already see an improvement. I also thought it could be make up so I changed to non-comedogenic make-up (Kjaer Weis, Lilly lolo and w3ll people).

I had really bad acne and then it settled down after about a month thank god. Your body might just need time to get used to the hormones

I had a hormonal IUD placed back in April and my acne is the worst it’s ever been. 😔 I’ve changed several lifestyle habits for the better since then, but the acne has stayed the same, so I’m pretty sure it’s the hormone in the Mirena making my skin all wacky.
