How long did you wait to have baby #2?

I’ve read that it’s best for your body to wait 2 years before getting pregnant again. I had a very easy pregnancy and a vaginal delivery (small tear with only two stitches)

I’m now 4 weeks pp and I feel fabulous!

My husband and I definitely want more children and we have decided that we would like to start trying for another once our son is a year old. Is this long enough? For those of you that have waited a year, how did it go for you?
