convincing parents?!

so i’m 16 and i really want to get my nose pierced but my dad hates piercings and my mom doesnt really like them either, but i really want it done soon! how can i convince them to let me? i would obviously pay for it myself but because i’m 16 i need a parents consent.

You can't my dear. If your parents truly do not want you to altar your body, you can't make them change their mind. Just wait and in two years you can have all the piercings you want!

Show them how much you know how to take care of it and the good thing about it is it’s easy to hide. If you take the piercing out for a job let’s say, it’s really hard to notice. I would know... I love piercings and tattoos. I have my nose done, got it when I was 16, and I still have it. I work in a dental office and it definitely wouldn’t fly to have a nose piercing there... no one knows I even have it because it’s so hard to see.

Tell them you’ll pay for it, and just overall show you think you’re responsible enough, how much you really want it, put your all into it and they will probably let you
