Christmas trees and babies ???

How are you guys planning on baby proofing your Christmas trees ?? Is that a thing ? We want to put one up in the living room but our son plays a lot in there I just know his curiosity will lead him that way - are you guys planning on just keeping baby from room with tree ? Using a baby gate system ? Looking for suggestions !

Are home is super NOT baby proof lol. So we normally block him in the living room area so he's safe. Normally that's where we put our tree, but this year we are putting it on the outside of our living room/dining room. That way we can enjoy the tree, but the baby will be safe. I don't trust putting the ornaments higher up on the tree because my son is a persistent little monster and will probably pull the tree on top of himself eventually. The gate is a great idea!! We just don't have enough room for one, or else we would. :) best of luck to you!

Pretty much baby proofing with a tree is if you put the lights on, don’t put them down low and only put ornaments from where they can’t reach and up. The bottom never gets decorated with little fingers that are curious 😂

Our LO only uses the room where the tree will go when she is in her walker so we will set low ornaments further back so she can’t grab them. The floor in that room is read stone so if she is walking by then (which I️ suspect she may be) we will use a baby gate to keep her out as the stone isn’t forgiving for falling babies anyway.

We bought small trees together (3ft) and plan to put them on tables, desks, dressers, etc and decorate them up there so she (hopefully) can’t reach them lol. We have a free roam house bunny who chews cords so I’d like to think we’re pretty good at proofing the house already- we’ll see how it goes lol

I think we are going to put it in the front room instead of our living room this year. He hangs out in the living room all the time and he loves climbing so much, I don't trust that it will stay up even if I never leave him alone. But I definitely want to have a tree for his first Christmas!

I have a 4ft tree and a 8ft, i'll only put the 4ft this year, on a low table.
