When did your baby’s day get the baby for the day?
Okay! So, my son is 3 months old and a VERY difficult baby. He has a ton of tummy issues, so he’s a giant mommas boy lately. I live with my parents, and my son has been around my mom every day since the day he was born. Even when I’m at work, she has a hard time with him, and cries 90% of the time. (No, i don’t hold him all day, he struggles with acid reflux and sometimes just wants his mom to comfort him.) anyways, his dad sees him MAYBE once every other week. That’s all him, he can come over whenever he wants, and i will go with him to visit him and his family. Even then, he can’t calm him down, hands him to me whenever he cries, holds him for maybe 10 minuets for the 10 hours I’m with him. And just goes to take a nap. So he text me asking if he could have him for the day, and i nicely said i didn’t feel comfortable with it and he was more than welcome to come to my house. So his response was “I️ don’t understand why i can’t have my son without you or your mother hovering over me”
VERY PISSED OFF.
I personally don’t think he’s ready to take care of our son alone, seeing as he doesn’t take care of him when he’s around him.
So my question is when did your child’s dad take them? Are they an active part of your child’s life? What would you do if you were in my shoes?
Sorry for the long back story!
