IS SEXTING CHEATING?

My boyfriend isn’t a cheater, but I found out he’s been sexting someone (with pics) for the last few weeks. She’s lives over 4,000 miles away and I really don’t think he’d actually sleep with, none of the texts were emotional. 
Do I leave him? Do I take some time and forgive? Is it not a big deal?

that is cheating, dear. your boyfriend is a cheater. doesn't matter if it isn't emotional, it's sexual and he should only be doing those things with you, unless you guys have made it clear that you're okay with doing such things with other people..which clearly isn't the case. confront him about it, talk to him ask him why. you can always see if the problem can be fixed, but if this isn't something you can work past, then best choice is to leave.

That’s def cheating. If he had talked to you beforehand and you both decided that it was chill for him to just exchange pics with some rando and use that in your guys’ sex life as well—  that’s different and would be fine since you knew before. 
But yeah no he’s cheating. You’re gonna have to figure out if that’s an issue for you or if you’re okay with it. 
Just remember that this kind of stuff almost always escalates. I, personally, think there’s a solid chance of him sleeping with someone else or emotionally cheating. The fact that he did it without talking to you shows that he doesn’t really respect you at all.

I would talk to him about it but I personally classify cheating as "anything you wouldn't say or do in front of me or want me finding out about" sexting is emotional cheating... if he is feeling unfulfilled in this area of his life, there might be an underlying issue and you don't want to wait until he is self-justifying reasons to actually go out and cheat. They may never have "good reasons" and it may not ever cross their minds that it would be found out or even that it would hurt you... but they always have reasons... so talk, LISTEN to what the possible cause is or might be and either do your relationship a favor and stay with him out of love or love yourself enough to let your relationship go.

if you do anything that you feel like you need to hide from your SO then it's cheating. so yes it's cheating in my opinion. when I was dating my husband I considered him watching porn and hiding it from me cheating
