23 week baby UPDATE

I just wanted to make an update because I am thrilled on how my little girl is growing!

I gave birth to Arya at 23 weeks 2 days at 11:52pm. She was 1lb 5 oz and 12.25inches in length. Doctors weren't very optimistic but Arya is a strong little warrior determined to prove them wrong. She is currently 31 week gestation and just turned 2 months old (since she was born). She is currently in the NICU and it's amazing to see how she is able to recognize me as her vitals get even better and she becomes more calm when I'm around.

Different nurses have called her "feisty" because even though she can't talk she makes sure she lets you know what she wants and how.

There have been some scary times where she was fighting an infection in 2 different occasions and this last tim

e they thought it had spread to her brain. That was the scariest moment in my life but I promised to love her no matter what. Luckily the infection didn't go to her brain and I'm still ecstatic about it!!!

She continues to grow and I try to be as involved as I possibly can...diaper changes, take her temperature, bathe her, pick out her blankets, read books to her. I read the book Olivia to her every single day I already know it by heart lol.
