Help! Hcg levels rising slow

Has anyone experienced the same and had a successful pregnancy? My Dr did an ultrasound yesterday and said could not locate a sac yet. He said because I was previously on the pill, I may have ovulated later than expected. I have my next ultrasound on 11/28.
