Painful ovulation

I experience extremely painful ovulation that makes it very difficult to have sex... which would be the main reason why we haven't conceived.

I get awful pains on one side that are typically onset by ovulation.

Sex is not always painful, but around ovulation it is painful.

I am obviously going to go get checked. I am worried and getting myself worked up. 😔 my grandmother died from undiagnosed ovarian cancer at a young age so I get myself freaked out.

I have had multiple ovarian cysts in the past. They seem to come and go, but I've never been diagnosed with PCOS or anything.

My doctor previously mentioned a laparoscopy to look for endometriosis which will most likely be the next step.

Has anyone else experienced something similar or gone through getting checked for endometriosis?
