Roller skating at 27 weeks?

Question

We're going to a roller skating kid's birthday party. Is it safe for me to skate? I'm okay at it but my husband is very good because he used to play hockey.  I thought, if I do skate, I will only do it holding on to him and just a couple laps around. I'm 27 weeks- what do you guys think? I just worry if I did fall. Has anyone gone skating while pregnant?

The skating wouldn't be an issue, but if you experience a hard fall, your placenta can rupture- that's life and death for baby. Personally, I wouldn't. You're not just trusting YOUR skating skills, but a bunch of clumsy little kiddos that could run into you. Happy partying, tho!!!

I would be worried to go skating at that stage of my pregnancy. What if I fell or if someone knocked me down? If I fell on my stomach, I’d be worried of doing some damage. That’s just my thoughts. But I’d be a bit nervous

I wouldn't do it, but I even stopped wearing heals (even small ones) as soon as I found out I was pregnant, I just didn't want the added risk of a fall, our center of gravity changes so fast with the growing belly it's easy to bump into doors or stumble on firm ground.

I would say no. My son had his bday at the skating rink and I couldn’t skate it’s just to risky. People could run into you, you could fall, to risky!
