First time mom to be here... going to ask a silly question. Please don't judge me. 🙈
I've taken care of many babies over the years and given them ____ oz of formula or breastmilk every 2/4 hours obviously in a bottle as moms instructed. I am very hopeful I will be able to breastfeed, but my question is: without first pumping your breastmilk into bottles, how do you "monitor" how much baby eats? Do you trust that baby stops when they are full? How do you know when they are full? Do you test to see generally how much you can pump in ___ amount of time first into a bottle to guess how many ounces baby is getting whilst breastfeeding? How do you make sure baby is not overeating? I really hope more women had this same question and I'm not entirely ill-prepared to be a mother. 🙃
Thank you, ladies! 💕
