I am LIVID. Our roof is a disaster is has been for years it leaks in the kitchen and living room and that was it for a while. There is a huge hole in our kitchen ceiling from it. I started noticing a weird mildew smell in my room so I checked my closet and everything in my closet was soaked I’m devastated. I tried to clean it but everything is too heavy for me to lift. The next day we got heavy rain and now my room is leaking a lot. RIGHT WHERE I WAS GOING TO PUT THE BABY’S CRIB. I can’t put it anywhere else because of the windows that I have so I’m pissed. I go downstairs to tell my mom we need to get the roof fixed and how this is bad. Of course she insisted it was all fine. I started talking about black mold and she said that she thinks we have it. I asked her for how long and she said A FEW YEARS. I am pregnant and have been exposed to this my whole pregnancy I am now 6 months. I went downstairs to examine the hole and sure enough what looked like black mold was inside. I looked it up and it says that it can cause pregnancy loss and stillbirth? I just need some advice. Should I move in with my nana? I am just shocked.
