Surgery?!

My little baby, Jazmine, might need a surgery that will cost around $1 - 2 million. This is because her last bone in the sternum:

(Except on a cat)

Is pointing angled instead of straight down. This is caused by trauma. AND I WOULD NEVER KICK OR IN ANY WAY ABUSE MY BABY!!! The only other explanation is that she missed the ledge when she was jumping around and it hit her sternum. But the chances of this are freakishly low. I'm devastated because she might be in severe pain and I'm extremely scared. We went to the vet and she said that she can take a painkiller unless the pain in her body is unbearable. But the only problem is she might have to be on that painkiller for a good portion of her life. Also, she has a respiratory problem because she was a stray and in the shelter, her immune system was so weak that it damaged her respiratory system. So now she's on a pill I have to shove down her throat every 3 days for the rest of her life.
