Tipping uber?

what's the story? they added this new feature. I love tipping but now that the feature is added is it expected instead of a bonus?  thanks for the votes😀

I always kind of assumed it's expected. I don't know why though. My little brother was a Lyft driver, and he would provide snacks & water bottles and almost always got a tip.

Yes. They don’t really make that much. They have to give a share to Uber, cover their own gas and other services to their car. 
Tipping is always a polite thing to do. Doesn’t have to be a lot but it’s better than none.

I live in New Zealand and we don't tip for anything ever.
I find tipping rather daft but you should never have to tip.

I’d tip though:o. It’s polite and generally the people I know that are drivers have neat snacks and features to make the ride more enjoyable

Anytime a service is provided to you then you should expect to tip. This goes for hair salon, nails, dinner; taxi etc.

They added the feature bc people weren’t tipping 😒 The amount of the service charged is stereotypically cheaper than a taxi or actual car service. It’s faster than public transportation. Tipping was/is expected, unless you’ve received poor service. In that case, leave a reflective review. They do not get paid THAT much, and rely heavily on tips. If you can not afford to tip your Uber or Lyft driver, you should probably take a bus.
