Induction unsuccessful (so far)...
I came in last night at 7 to have the cervidil inserted, had it out this morning and my cervix was still high, closed and posterior. After having to wait a further 3 hours to see the doctor he decided a balloon catherter would be the best next step. While the procedure was uncomfortable it was actually more bearable than the other doctors checking my cervix over the last week. I've had some contraction like pains over the last 8 hours or so but they've been infrequent and I imagine less intense than real contractions. At least another 4 hours but they'll most likely leave it in until tomorrow morning and if it doesn't work they'll try the next step which is prostegen (probably spelled that wrong) but the doctor is confident that'll the balloon will dilate me enough that they'll be able to break my waters tomorrow. 40 weeks exactly today, hoping to go into proper labour over night!
