flu shot

Dude

so I live in canada, and they are predicting the flu to be one of the more serious strain this year. based off of australia. So online i read how last year the flu shot was only 50% effective, they also mentioned that the strain they cover this year in the shot still has a higher chance of not covering you, meaning the strain of flu is likely to change and it not covered in the shot. now the strain this year is one we had 3 years agos but its a little bit different. I had the flu 3 years ago.

My kids and i have never had the flu shot, and i don't think that they have ever had the flu. but its also never been this serious so im thinking of getting the shot for everyone, but part of me is thinking that thats my anxiety talking. I've never been concerned about it until this year and i think its due to my Post partum anxiety. I mean it's a non live shot so whats the harm right? also can a 5 month old get the shot?

Just need opinions
