Braxton Hicks?

Question

Could someone please give me more info on Braxton Hicks? Google is helpful but not a real persons experience. 
I am 26 weeks pregnant (is that too early)? Today I’m experiencing a very tight lower abdomen, not sore just uncomfortable, almost makes me want to go pee all the time (that kind of sensation.
Is that a Braxton hick, it comes and goes?

Yes BH are uncomfortable. It feels like tightening of your tummy muscles, it can be just the lower part or upper part or the whole tummy, sometimes it takes my breath away. But they never painful like period pain as they’re not real contractions!

Sounds like Braxton Hicks. I’ve been getting them for about a month but this is my 3rd. Your stomach muscles will tighten and it will be hard like a stone. Not painful, just uncomfortable.

With my first pregnancy I only got them a few weeks before she was born. Now with my second pregnancy, I’ve been getting them since 19 weeks. It feels like my abs are trying to show off without my permission! I notice they increase in frequency when I’m on a long walk.

Yes that is BH contractions. The tightening and/or pain will only be in the front and will not extend around to your back or rear with BH contractions. It is normal to get them anytime in the second trimester.

I had some yesterday they ended up being pretty consistent throughout the day. I also had some bad cramps and back pain. My OB was happy I called, they gave me fluids at labor and delivery and checked up. All is ok, they told me to always call. It's better to check and have nothing be happening.

You can get them from 16 weeks. I’m 28 weeks and get them every now and again. Not painful just uncomfortable and everything goes hard and tight and doesn’t long. They are normal

I’ve been getting them too. I read it’s important to stay hydrated since they can be caused by dehydration as well as too much physical activity. I’ve managed to get them under control a bit better by following that advice
