So my mother and I we hardly talk much. Maybe once or twice every other week. So yesterday evening she brought over my son’s gifts. She hadn’t had a chance to wrap them and asked me if I felt up to it and explained the wrapping paper was in with the gifts. She didn’t bother to call and just showed up with the gifts, she asked to if she could put the gifts in the other bedroom so I told her yes We’d get around to wrapping the gifts if she didnt feel up to it. But I wanted her to keep the gifts at her place at least until the 15th of December. She didn’t listen. She didn’t stay long. I didn’t bother to look through the gifts until last night. My husband was helping me wrap them. While wrapping the gifts I noticed she got my son some very expensive things. She brought him a Razor HoverTrax DLX Hoverboard (I believe its like 500.00) she got him some beats by dre headphones, an IPAD (he already has a regular tablet) and a IPhone 7 😡 he isn’t allowed to have a phone yet. He is 9. All the gifts she got him are for older kids and I’ve told my mom not to spend tons of money on him. So I called my sister and my mom did the exact same thing with her 2 kids. Brought them a whole bunch of expensive stuff. So I didn’t wrap the stuff and I’m planning to call my mom to come and pick up the hoverboard, the iPad, iPhone, and headphones. My husband thinks we should just keep it and give it to him next year for Christmas. How would you ladies handle a situation like this? Do you think it’s wrong of me to give the gifts back?
