Allergy to Epidural?

With my first I got a reaction after giving birth and recovering from the epidural. I was super itchy like beyond itchy and uncomfortable. Is there any alternative besides the epidural if I have to get a csection again?

I had a reaction to the stuff they use on your back before inserting the epi. I think its like a wash or something. It was awful.

Are you certain it was from the epidural? Some women experience itching due to hormone changes that happen during/after labour.

Talk to your OB.  I had a different type of reaction but they are giving me meds beforehand to prevent it.

If you don't want the epidural/spinal then you'd need general anesthesia (asleep during the procedure)
