Backstory: I was adopted at birth from an adoption service out of Russia. I've never had ANY desire to locate my "birth parents". I don't consider them my parents. I consider the people who adopted me to be my parents. I genuinely don't understand people who spend their lives looking for their birth parents, or even wanting to leave their adoptive parents for their birth parents.
