A body was recovered 25 miles away from 3 year old Mariah's home in a Holly Shelter Creek that authorities say matches the description of Mariah.

They have arrested the mother's live in boyfriend with the death/dumping of the body. The child did not drown, and was dead before the boyfriend dumped her body.

The mother claimed that the child had been abducted, which could be a lie that she told to cover up for her boyfriend.

Mariah's biological father had not seen Mariah in a year, and claims that he tried to get custody but couldn't because he was unable to afford a lawyer. The biological father stated before the body was found that he didn't believe a stranger had taken her, and that it was an inside job.
