27 weeks, small baby, given steroids..delivery soon?

Let me start by saying this pregnancy has been such a roller coaster. For the last month, she's been measuring between the 7-10%. They said this is small, but will be acceptable as long as she stays in this range.

At 27 weeks, I'm now to the point where my babies legs are measuring too small, bringing the rest of her growth down to 2%. (Without including her legs, she's 9%.) So, my doctor ordered steroid shots, first round today and second round tomorrow, for fear that she may stop growing. I'm supposed to go in weekly for tests now, twice a week. They said in 2 weeks they'll remeasure, and if she hasn't caught up, they're going to deliver me.

Has anyone delivered this early? What was the outcome?

I have this gut feeling that I should wait as long as possible, and not be bullied into anything by doctors. She seems so active, and all her tests results come back excellent. Just so confused!
