Newborn hair care 😩

Okay so i think i got some bad hair advice so let me ask you guys. My baby will be 12 weeks on Saturday. She has curly hair and it’s kind of thick up top, thin on the sides (from laying). I was told not to comb her hair ever. Just run my fingers thru it 🤔 so i stopped combing it but yesterday i washed her hair and decided to comb it & the ends were snagging so bad .. it was hard to get the comb thru and afterwards i noticed some hair in the comb which never happened when i combed her hair once a day or every other day. So what’s the BEST advice on how to take care of her hair. I’m a FTM mom and I’m really confused 😩😩 Also any recommendations on how to make her curls more noticeable after i comb her hair? Usually after i comb it, it looks like a fro but i love her curls and want to show them off.
