Tmi (keloid?) Showed up overnight!!

I’ve had a problem with keloids on my tragus piercing before but after a LONG time I finally got it to go away and then over night this just showed up! I’ve so done with this piercing, I’ve had it for just over a year and I’ve had a keloid on it for at least 95% of the time. What can I do 😭😭

h2ocean spray is a life saver. use it 2-6 times a day. it's around $10 at any drug store or online

keep it clean with premade saline or soap, AVOID tea tree oil, salt and alcohols. way too harsh, and go see your piercer for advice!

This happened to me, Usually they will pierce it with a 14G so after my horrid keloid and infections for months I went into the studio and had my piercer downsize the jewelry to an 18G, used iodine, hydrogen peroxide and cortisone cream for two weeks and it healed right up and never came back. I've now had the piercing for 10 years!! I realized with my body if I get anything pierced in a thick cartilage area that I need smaller jewelry for it to heal. I have a scar you can still see though from the keloid but at least it healed and I've had it for so long now!

I would try sea salt and crushed aspirin. Helped with the one on my nose!

Create a mixture of tea tree oil and sea salt in water and warm it up. Then get a cotton ball and soak the area a couple times a day. Let it sit on the keloid. It should help.
