Is 10 too young for Fear Street books?

I gave my neice a bunch of my old Fear Street books her mom didn't care but our cousin who is super religious (and nosey) says it's inappropriate for her age and that I wouldn't know cuz I don't have children now I'm not arguing that since I don't have kids and maybe these books might not be appropriate now but I'm pretty sure I read them when I was her age.

I think I started reading goose bumps about that age and fear street like a year later!!! I also watched freddy Krueger when I was like 6 sooo......LOL

So I read all the Goosebumps books when I was 10, and then I read Fear Street, and then I read Christopher Pike, and... let's just say I never slept again. To this day I can't handle scary movies (but I LOVE true crime?).
I really don't recommend them for a little kid.

Nah I read all of those at that age, but I read adult books too. (Not as erotic adult books but regular ones with cussing and graphic scenes) It all counts on the kid and how mature they are.

I was a kid who had constant nightmares and hated horror movies and yet I loved Goosebumps books and started reading Fear Street around 9 or 10. Your niece will be fine; kids know what's too much for them.

So our brother got in on our family feud LoL he said I was way older when I started reading the books but we also know I got them when they first came out so we looked at book one The New Girl and the copy right is 1989 so that made me 11 at the time....now I feel old!😆 LoL
